Hastelloy S Nickel Alloy
Hastelloy S (UNS N06635) is a nickel-chromium-cobalt high-temperature alloy specifically designed for extreme oxidizing environments. It maintains excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation and carburization even at 980°C. Its high chromium content (16%) forms a stable oxide layer, making it suitable for high-temperature industrial applications such as petrochemical cracking furnaces and heat treatment equipment.

Applications
Hastelloy S alloy is specifically developed for demanding cyclic heating environments, particularly suited for components requiring retention of high strength, good ductility, and excellent metallurgical integrity after prolonged high-temperature exposure. It is widely used in gas turbine engines as sealing rings, with its low coefficient of thermal expansion being a key characteristic.
