Feature
Hastelloy B-3 alloy exhibits good forgeability, with a forging heating temperature of approximately 1140°C and a final forging temperature of 900°C. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation and the final forging temperature. The alloy also offers satisfactory weldability; it is typically welded in the solution-annealed condition, followed by aging treatment to restore optimal microstructure and properties.
Applications
The alloy is suitable for use in pressure vessels and pressurized equipment operating within a temperature range of -196°C to 400°C. It is widely applied in the chemical, petroleum, nuclear engineering, pharmaceutical, and environmental protection industries.
