TA2 Titanium
Compared to TA1, TA2 has slightly higher strength while still maintaining good corrosion resistance and workability. It is commonly used in equipment such as heat exchangers and evaporators. For example, in heat exchangers of industrial cooling systems, TA2 can operate stably in complex media environments.

Feature
Moderate Strength – Tensile strength: 345–480 MPa, higher than TA1 but still ductile.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Resists seawater, chlorine, acids, and alkalis.
Good Weldability & Formability – Can be welded (TIG, MIG, laser) and cold-worked easily.
Biocompatibility – Safe for medical implants and surgical tools.
Low Density (4.51 g/cm³) – Lightweight compared to steel.
Cryogenic & High-Temperature Suitability – Maintains toughness at low temps (down to -250°C).
Higher Oxygen Content (~0.25%) – Slightly stronger than TA1 but less ductile.
Applications
Aerospace Industry---Hydraulic tubing, fuel lines, and airframe components. Used in aircraft like Boeing and Airbus due to its lightweight and durability.
Marine & Offshore---Submarine piping, seawater desalination systems, and offshore oil rig components.
Medical Devices---Surgical instruments, catheters, and orthopedic implants (due to biocompatibility).
Chemical Processing---Pipes, heat exchangers, and valves in corrosive environments.
Sports Equipment---High-performance bicycle frames, golf clubs, and marine hardware.
Automotive & Racing---Lightweight exhaust systems and performance components.
