In the pipe production process, annealing treatment plays an indispensable and important role. This process, which involves specific heating, heat preservation, and cooling, aims to solve problems arising from the processing links, comprehensively improve the performance of pipes, and lay the foundation for subsequent processing and final application.
After pipes undergo processing such as rolling and stretching, internal stresses are likely to occur inside them. If not eliminated in a timely manner, it may lead to deformation or cracking during storage or use. Annealing treatment enables metal atoms to rearrange to release stress, effectively stabilizing the dimensions of the pipes. At the same time, pipes after cold working will become hard and difficult to shape due to "work hardening". Annealing can refine grains and restore plasticity, making the pipes easier for subsequent processing such as bending and stamping. In addition, annealing can optimize the internal structure of the pipes. It forms uniform and fine grains through recrystallization, balancing strength and toughness; for alloy pipes, it can even adjust the distribution of precipitated phases and improve key properties such as corrosion resistance.
