Heat Treatment Process Of GH3039 Alloy Highlights Material Performance Advantages

Dec 30, 2025

As one of the company's core materials, GH3039 alloy is widely used in high-end fields such as aerospace and energy due to its excellent high-temperature performance and stability, and its heat treatment process is a key link to ensure material performance.

This alloy is a single-phase austenitic solid-solution strengthened alloy. Its heat treatment is centered on solution treatment, with no need for aging treatment. The homogenization of structure and optimization of performance are achieved through precise control of process parameters: a solution temperature of 1050°C ~ 1100°C is adopted, and the holding time is set according to the material thickness (30 ~ 60 minutes for thin plates, 60 ~ 120 minutes for thick parts) to ensure full dissolution of precipitated phases such as carbides. After treatment, rapid cooling by water quenching is performed to inhibit the precipitation of brittle phases, ultimately obtaining a uniform structure with a grain size of 5 ~ 8 grades. This achieves excellent mechanical properties with a tensile strength of ≥850MPa and a yield strength of ≥400MPa, while ensuring heat resistance and oxidation resistance below 800°C.

For products in different states such as cold-rolled parts, forgings, and welded parts, the company implements differentiated process adjustments (e.g., 1050°C ~ 1080°C with a holding time of 60 ~ 90 minutes for welded parts). Combined with refined controls such as vacuum/protective atmosphere heating and uniform cooling, it effectively eliminates processing stress, avoids deformation and cracking, and provides stable and reliable material support for high-end equipment manufacturing.
