304H Stainless Steel
304H is a high-carbon variant of the popular 304 austenitic stainless steel. Its key composition includes 18-20% chromium, 8-10.5% nickel, and a carbon content of 0.04-0.10%—higher than standard 304’s maximum 0.08%.
This elevated carbon content enhances its high-temperature strength and creep resistance, making it ideal for sustained use in elevated thermal environments. It maintains structural stability at temperatures up to 870°C (1600°F), outperforming regular 304 in such conditions.

Feature
304H is the high-carbon variant (0.04%~0.10% C) of 304 stainless steel, specifically engineered for high-temperature applications. The elevated carbon content enhances its high-temperature strength and creep resistance, making it suitable for service above 525°C (up to 800°C maximum).
While solution-annealed 304H exhibits corrosion resistance and workability comparable to standard 304, prolonged exposure to the sensitization temperature range (425~860°C) may lead to intergranular corrosion.
Applications
Applicable to heat-resistant scenarios above 500°C.
High-Temperature Equipment: Pressure-bearing components such as boilers, heat exchangers, and superheater pipes.
Energy Industry: High-temperature pipelines and structural parts for power plants and petrochemical installations.
Machining & Manufacturing: Fasteners and transmission components requiring higher strength.
